LIVE: Rail Business Days Fair in Ostrava Has Just Started

The three-day Rail Business Days fair in Ostrava has just kicked off. The RAILTARGET editorial team is on-site with a professional interview studio, ready to bring you updates directly from the event.

The fair will feature dozens of Czech and international companies from the railway industry, with a very diverse program.

The conference has just begun, with speeches from the Czech Minister of Transport, the Director of the Railway Administration, the CEO of ČD Michal Krapinec, CEO Zdeněk Chrdle, and the Deputy Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region for Transport.

An open debate with the Czech Minister of Transport Martin Kupka is now starting, followed by a panel on the practical application of alternative propulsion technology for rolling stock. We will also discuss the future of railways as a key mode of transport for the future of the Czech Republic.

Energy and its impact on operations, infrastructure, and railway transport development will also be a key topic. The program will conclude with a discussion of high-speed rail - its preparation, regional impact, and infrastructure plans.

Parallel to the conference, the fair is also taking place. At noon, there will be a presentation of the battery-equipped RegioPanter electric unit and the christening of the 383 Vectron locomotive in "Jan Perner" livery. There will also be an official handover of the CZ LOKO locomotive.
